June 26, the start building ceremony of WUHU SHIPYARD’S 28000DWT Chemical cargo ship was held in the workshop of Daming Heavy Industry in Da Ming Jingjiang Base. General Manager of WUHU SHIPYARD Zhou Xinxing, QA Manager Jiang Bowang, and leaders of the CCS Li Hong, Out-sourcing Manager Li Xiaoyong, and General Manager of Daming Heavy Industry Wangjian, Deputy General Managers Wu Xingsheng and Luo Zhihui attended the ceremony.
This is the first duplex steel chemical cargo ship for WUHU SHIPYARD Company, and the ship-owner has strict requirements on the material, process control and delivery.
China Classification Society (CCS) is the only professional institution in China that is engaged in ship classification survey business and the official member of the International Classification Society Association, while 28000DWT Chemical cargo ship is also the first independent supervision and inspection duplex steel chemical cargo ship for CSS.
Daming Heavy Industry undertakes the supporting processing of the duplex steel ship’s inner bulkheads, and mainly provides technical drawings design, cutting, beveling, welding, bending, inspection and other services.
This is the first cooperation among WUHU SHIPYARD Company, CSS and Daming Heavy Industry to build a large duplex steel chemical cargo ship, which is of great importance.
During the discussion, Deputy General Manager Zhou Xinxing said that the manufacture of the ship is an important step in helping WUHU SHIPYARD Company enters into the duplex steel chemical cargo ship filed, and through the former close communication, WUHU SHIPYARD Company got deep understanding of Daming Heavy Industry’s rich experience, advanced equipment and standardized process flow, which lays a good foundation for the cooperation. While manager of the CSS Li Hong said that CSS shall make full play of CSS’s advantages of professional supervision and inspection and strictly control the product’s quality.
General Manager of Daming Heavy Industry Wang Jian gave a general introduction of Da Ming Group and Daming Heavy Industry and special mentioned that Daming Heavy Industry started to provide supporting processing for chemical cargo ship in 2010, and has served tens of ship manufacturers. The processing capability has been tested and widely proved by the customer.
Through the common effort, the three parties shall build the ship as a showpiece and the foundation for future expand cooperation.
